All the money that's spent in the media through advertising for dieting and weight loss, it seems like such a waste. If people could stick to the basics of eating and exercising right for their own body and the media could actually take responsibility for presenting real people, then I wonder if we could all use that money towards something more useful?
The "news" that broke out about Jessica Simpson's mom jeans and how much weight she had gained. Are you kidding me? The woman is petite and voluptuous, and probably should not have worn jeans with pockets like that. That simple! Nothing to do with her weight!! Thank goodness, she handled herself with grace and dignity. Go Jessica Simpson ... prove the media wrong and the people right!
The double standard: Why has nobody mentioned the true weight gain of the men on the show, 30 Rock? Both Alec Baldwin and Tracey Morgan have plumped up. Just looking at the photos of them in the opening credits shows the large amount of weight gain in both of them. But does anyone say anything about that? DOUBLE STANDARD!!!!!! It's not that they picked the wrong jeans to wear. They wear suits and baggy clothes. They're still talented, but there needs to be a fair representation for both sexes of what's real for people in their body type.
